THE WEEKENDS ARE NEVER LONG ENOUGH!

Why does Monday always seem to get here so quickly? I don't know about you, but whoever thought up the work week should have seriously reconsidered! :) I mean 5 days on, 2 days off? Why not split it a little more evenly? 4 work days and 3 days off, or even better 3 days working, 4 days off! Oh well, since it is not going to change any time soon, better show you what I was working on this weekend.

This is a t-shirt quilt that I completely pieced and finally got on the frame this weekend. It's pretty big at 82x92. This is definitely going to keep someone warm on those chilly days in the dorm room! Enjoy! Rachel

MODERN QUILTING

I have been looking at a lot of quilts lately that are described as "modern quilting". A lot of straight lines and simple designs that really make a beautiful quilt. In my last post I talked about finding a design style, and this is a style that I am becoming very taken with. So without further ado, here are some pictures of a quilt that I finished yesterday for my friend Karen. It's a quilt for her granddaughter, and I really think that the straight line quilting really adds to the simple rail fence design. Enjoy! Rachel
